Beautiful and unusual Kuchi/Indian-inspired statement waist belt, made from overlapping embossed antique-gold tone metal panels mounted onto a wide black fabric/elasticated backing. The metalwork has a wonderfully detailed scalloped/scale design with raised stud decoration, giving it a fabulous aged, ethnic/tribal appearance. The real showpiece is the large circular floral medallion, set with numerous deep ruby-red teardrop cabochons in an ornate antique-gold setting. A substantial, beautifully decorative piece that looks fantastic worn over a flowing maxi dress, kaftan, oversized shirt or simple black dress. Perfect for boho, festival, belly-dance, theatrical or statement styling. Would fit up to waist 30inches. Wide design with black fabric backing and metal fastening. Sadly no longer fits me Good pre-owned condition with the aged/patinated finish adding to its character.
