Vintage Mid-Century Japanese Antimony Dragon Trinket Jewelry Box - T.K. Mark

This is a beautiful vintage Japanese export trinket or jewelry box dating from the mid-20th century (circa 1950s-1960s). Made from antimony ware with a silver-plated finish, the lid features a highly detailed, embossed high-relief design of a traditional Japanese dragon (Ryu) surrounded by swirling clouds and waves. The sides of the box are similarly decorated with an embossed mountain and wave landscape. The interior is lined with its original deep red velvet fabric, perfect for storing rings, cufflinks, or small keepsakes. The bottom features a textured finish and is stamped with the "T.K." maker's mark inside a diamond, along with "MADE IN JAPAN". It also retains a vintage paper retail sticker from the historic Dutch department store V&D (Vroom & Dreesmann), showing its original stock code and price of 1.95. Good vintage condition with a lovely aged patina. There is some minor surface wear, tarnish, and thinning to the silver plating on the edges and corners, revealing the darker base metal underneath—giving it great character. The hinge works smoothly and closes securely. The red interior lining shows minor signs of age but remains clean, intact, and free of any major rips or stains. Please review all photos carefully to assess the condition for yourself. Dimensions:Length: 8.5 cmWidth: 6 cmHeight: 2.8 cm
