Condition: For Parts or Not Working / Spares or Repair Selling a vintage 1980s Panasonic M Series (Omnimovie family) full-size VHS shoulder camcorder. The unit is being sold "As-Is" for parts, restoration, or prop use, but it features fully working mechanical parts. What works and has been tested: Power & Logic: The camera successfully powers on and stays on when connected to the included mains power brick. Lens & Zoom: The electronic viewfinder screen turns on and displays a crisp live image straight from the lens. The 14x Optical Macro Zoom and Autofocus systems are fully operational and smooth. Tape Mechanism: The motorized Eject button works perfectly. When a cassette is inserted, the tape deck whirs, engages, and mechanically drives forward, rewinds, and records. (Note: While it moves perfectly, it is not currently outputting a recorded video signal to the screen—likely requires a head clean or cap servicing). What is missing / broken / noted faults: Viewfinder Mount: The physical electronic viewfinder assembly is not securely fixed and has one loose screw, meaning it wobbles if moved. It stays attached and the screen still displays video perfectly. Battery: The included original battery pack is chemically dead due to age. The "Charge" light on the power block does not turn on when the battery is attached, meaning it will not hold portable power.
