A wonderful, quirky pair of vintage kitsch ceramic clown money boxes / piggy banks sold together as a set. Both feature classic bright mid-century glazes. The sitting clown has a coin slot built directly into his open mouth, while the crawling/reclining clown features a coin slot on the top of his yellow hat. Sold as a pair. Please note, both banks are missing their base stoppers/plugs and have entirely open, hollow bottoms—ideal now for decorative use or shelf styling. Vintage pre-owned condition with characterful wear. The sitting clown has a chip/ paint loss on his left hand and some minor paint flaking on his suit. The crawling clown has a bit of paint wear near his coin slot. Both show typical glaze crazing and old felt/glue residue on the base edges from previous display. No major structural cracks. Small miniature/cabinet scale (palm-sized—see photos for scale). Perfect addition to a collection of vintage coin banks or a quirky retro bedroom display!
