Beautiful vintage Golden Dragon full-length black robe / kimono-style dressing gown, made in China. A really striking piece with colourful floral embroidery across both sides of the front and a much larger embroidered floral design across the upper back in shades of red, pink, orange, green and cream. Features a loose open-front silhouette, wide kimono/batwing-style sleeves and two large draped patch pockets to the front. The fabric has a soft fluid satin-like finish and hangs beautifully. Original Golden Dragon woven label remains inside, showing Chinese characters and “Made in China”. The label is worn with age, which fits with the overall vintage character of the garment. No size label visible. Would say UK 12-14 Measurements laid flat approximately: Pit to pit – 23” Length – 49” Please compare measurements with a similar garment for fit as the style is intentionally loose and relaxed. There is a small worn/thinned patch to the fabric at the back just below the neckline, shown clearly in the photographs. Otherwise presents very nicely for its age, with the embroidery remaining wonderfully colourful. A gorgeous vintage statement piece that could be worn as a robe, dressing gown, kimono jacket or styled as lightweight evening/occasion outerwear.
